MEET OUR FOUNDER

Hello there, this is Captain David! I hold a US Coast Guard Master License and have been piloting boats on Michigan's Lake Superior and Lake Huron since 1983. My wife Stacy and I started Grand Island Boat Tours in 2024 when we realized there was a need in Munising, Michigan for a boating option that is private, extremely safe, dog-friendly, and which also caters to the whims and desires of the voyagers. The boat has really pretty, comfortable seating, a wonderful sound system (with Bluetooth so you can enjoy your personal playlist) and a privacy area for changing clothes after a swim. We can stop at a sand beach for wading or skipping stones, a stone beach for rock hunting, one of a few really cool swimming spots - or whatever strikes your fancy for a truly personalized tour. Our passengers can bring alcoholic beverages and food/snacks on board too.
